Nordic Market - Weather outweighs spot

Forward prices are dropping Monday morning. The system price was higher than expected, but is being outweighed by bearish weather forecasts.
Most forward contracts are down more than a euro from Friday. “The system price was above the expectations, while the weather forecasts were more bearish than expected, and so they are cancelling each other out,” one Oslo based trader comments.He says it is hard to predict the development in the forward market, as it will depend on what positions the players want to close bef

Forward prices are sliding further Tuesday morning, as forecasts are still mostly wet and mild. Q1-07 is being traded at the bottom of the range seen lately, at around EUR 38.50-39.00/MWh.
