Nordic power prices opened down this morning, before taking a rather strong swing upwards. It is still uncertain for how long the closed nuclear reactors in Sweden will remain offline.
Today’s system price of EUR 60.03/MWh was softer than the market expected and perhaps the main reason why prices opened down this morning, a Norwegian trader pointed out.“I also have the impression that some players were eager to get the market down this morning and there were also more instability to the weather forecasts, although they remain fairly dry,” he said.
