A strong system price led to a firm opening at Nord Pool on Monday morning but falling prices for fuels and German power are pulling Nordic prices down again.
The Q1-09 contract opened at EUR 50/MWh but was last traded at EUR 47.75/MWh, down 75 cents from Friday's settlement. YR-09 was traded as high as EUR 44.25/MWh at the opening, before slipping to EUR 41.80/MWh last, down EUR 1.85 from Friday.
