Nordic power prices are moving up on the back of dry weather forecasts and stronger oil on Wednesday morning, players said.
The Q1 10 contract dipped on Tuesday afternoon, but was back up again with a last trade of EUR 36.15/MWh, up 50 cents day on day. It peaked at EUR 36.45/MWh earlier in the session. "Oil prices came up yesterday and combined with a very dry weather forecast this morning, that pushed prices up in early trade,” said portfolio manager Pål Johannesen at Bergen Energi.
