Nordic forwards are falling on Tuesday morning on the back of softer German power prices, wetter forecasts and weakening fuel prices, players said.
The Q3 10 contract had lost EUR 1.25 at EUR 47.80/MWh while the front year had decreased by EUR 1.00 to EUR 46.60/MWh. "This morning prices are decreasing as a result of the German front year contract not rising above EUR 55/MWh yesterday and weaker CO2 prices today. This in combination with wetter weather forecasts helps push down Nordic forwards,” said a Norwegian portfolio manager.
