Nordic power prices are falling on Thursday morning on lower coal and CO2 prices and despite drier weather forecasts, players said.
The bellwether Q4 10 contract was last seen trading at EUR 45.55/MWh, down 30 cents day on day, while Year 2011 was down 45 cents at EUR 42.45/MWh. "It's hard to tell why prices are coming down today. Prices on coal and CO2 have weakened, but the weather forecasts are drier, which should have led prices in the other direction,” said Rune Jørgensen, trader at Norwegian utility Helge
