Nordic power prices are adjusting down on Tuesday morning, mainly because of profit taking and producers finding the current prices suitable for hedging, traders said.
The Q3 10 contract is down 60 cents at EUR 50.00/MWh on Nord Pool, while the front year contract has fallen half a euro to EUR 48.00/MWh. "It is hard to point at one factor triggering this sell-off. I guess it is mainly a result of profit taking and producer hedging, as prices have risen strongly over the last few days,” said Rune Jørgensen, trader at Norwegian utility Helgelandskraft.
