Nordic power is trading down on Friday morning, on the back of some weather forecasts predicting a moderation of temperatures and an increase in precipitation.
"Whenever there is a possibility of a change to [wetter and milder] weather, the market drops. There is also a weaker fuel complex and German power is down," said Kristian Keim, portfolio manager at Norwegian supplier Ishavskraft.
The Q1 dipped down to EUR 70.70/MWh, but ticked up to an intraday high at EUR 72.85/MWh, reflecting some of the nervous sentiment in the market.
