Prices are climbing a touch higher Tuesday morning, but the market is described as quite calm, compared to the movements seen lately. None of the week contracts have been traded so far, while the rest of the curve has gained 30-40 cents from yesterday’s close.
“The current price level is not unreasonable. At this point, the upside is not more likely than the downside, but there is a large potential in both directions, as we are in the steepest part of the supply curve,” one analyst says.“If the weather changes to mild and wet, the downside potential is considerable.
