The forward market opened weakly after last week's large gains, mainly due to a system price below expectations.
Monday's system price turned out at EUR 43.19/MWh, which was a few euro below the players' estimates before the weekend.
"Prices are down primarily because the system price is lower than expected. The weather outlook is quite unchanged, with mostly dry conditions and a more uncertain ending as usual," said Stein Erik Iversen at BKK.
