The front end of the Nordic curve is rising slightly due to dry forecasts on Thursday, while contracts further out are depressed by a bearish macroeconomic picture, players said.
The November contract was last seen traded at EUR 46.50/MWh, up 55 cents from Wednesday, while Q1 12 was up 20 cents at EUR 47.65/MWh. Further out, Year 2012 was down 15 cents at EUR 43.85/MWh. "The macroeconomic picture is bearish, but prices are held up by dry and cold forecasts,” said a Norwegian trader.
