The front year Nordic power contract is up 50cents at EUR 40.50/MWh on Wednesday morning, helped by strong fuel markets.
"Oil and coal prices are strong, pulling German and Nordic power with them,” said Willy Sægrov, portfolio manager at Bergen Energi. The movement was not very strong, however, as players remained reluctant to push the front year contract well above EUR 40.
