Nordic electricity forwards are dipping on Thursday morning, despite only minor changes to fundamental weather input, market players said.
The benchmark Q2 11 contract had lost EUR 1.20 day on day at EUR 52.30/MWh, having bounced back from an intraday low of EUR 51.55/MWh. Meanwhile, the March contract had shed EUR 3.90 at EUR 61.25/MWh.
"I'm slightly astonished by the large dip on the front end of the forward curve, since I don't see any dramatic changes in the weather picture,” a Finnish trader said.
