Nordic front forward prices are rising on Tuesday morning on the back of cold and dry weather forecasts and the outage of the Swedish nuclear reactor Oskarshamn 3 (1,400 MW).
The Week 5 contract last traded at EUR 44.75/MWh at Nasdaq OMX, up EUR 2.25 from Monday, while the February contract last changed hands at EUR 42.25/MWh, up EUR 2.05. "The price rise is caused by the combination of a cold EC 00 weather forecast and the outage of Oskarshamn 3,” Lars Olav Fosse, analyst at Thomson Reuters Point Carbon, said.
