Nordic power prices are rising on Friday morning on the back of weather forecasts which have again turned cold.
The February contract was last seen up EUR 1.25 at EUR 43.90/MWh, while the Q2 12 last traded at EUR 36.10/MWh, up 70 cents. ”Prices are rising because the weather forecasts once again have turned colder, particularly the operational EC00 forecast,” said Haakon Knudstad, trader at Norwegian utility BKK.
