Market - Possibly upside next week

As weather forecasts were somewhat wetter again this morning, the market corrected down. During the thin Friday trading V2-03 lifted somewhat towards noon, and a Norwegian trader believed that the general sentiment in the market, despite today’s drop, is a continued upside.
- It seems that most players consider the upside as the most interesting now. High-pressure weather over the weekend is expected, while only the very far end predicts some wetter weather again. True, load will be low next week, but this time of year we don’t receive much rain in Norway so inflows will be low and the hydro balance will not improve. Seeing Ringhals1 out of production until

The week started off with an incredible gap and V2-03 lifted 25 NOK to 320 NOK/MWh. Weather outlooks are very dry and everything points north, a Norwegian trader argued this morning. The Thursday open was truly gappy and V2-03 shot up to 290 NOK/MWh, seeing that the weather forecasts are very pleasant for the sun-worshippers, but in a thin market. A Norwegian player characterized the lift as “madness” and said that upwards is ok, but not this much.
