Market - New world scenario

The pattern repeats itself and there is nothing stopping the market from moving further north as the underlying strength is continuously confirmed by dry and cool weather prognoses. “It is impossible to predict the top here, any high figure could be correct. We just have to make sure that we don’t start selling out too soon,” a Norwegian trader argued. Presently the figures speak for themselves: V1-03 has traded up from 298.00 NOK/MWh Friday afternoon to 357.00 NOK/MWh at the highest today.

Market - Jittery but bull
After the rather incredible lift at the beginning of the week, the Thursday morning market continued correcting down from the weak Wednesday close. Players are not very surprised about this, and no panicky sentiment has been introduced. On the contrary, profits taken are huge, and during morning hour trading the direction was back north again.

The Tuesday morning market continued lifting noticeably after a careful open, and players argue that the levels will keep on moving up on relatively low volumes for a long time. The hydrological balance is now some 27TWh below normal, a Norwegian trader pointed out, and with no indications that the resource situation will start to improve, the winter scenario is already decided, another trader held.
