Market - Down with the sky

The Monday market opened down in line with expectations as weather prognoses remain wet, but flattened out a couple of NOKs below the Friday close in a rather non-volatile market. A Swedish trader argued in favour of a continued fall the next couple of days, and believed that during afternoon trading SO2 should come down some more.

Market - Murder on the trade floor (but you better not kill the groove)
It was the morning after at Nord Pool today, following the extraordinary Monday when the total market traded over 31,000 GWh and recorded an all-time high turnover. The Tuesday market started off carefully around yesterday’s closing levels, but was lifted slightly during morning hour trading.

It was the morning after at Nord Pool today, following the extraordinary Monday when the total market traded over 31,000 GWh and recorded an all-time high turnover. The Tuesday market started off carefully around yesterday’s closing levels, but was lifted slightly during morning hour trading.

Market - Head-and-shoulders, knee and toe?
The Friday morning market was bearish and relatively thin, as SO2 was taken down below NOK 130 gracefully with forecasts boding well for more precipitation. As the options exercise of SO2 yesterday was completed, a Norwegian trader today spoke of a weather centred market next week, and that the SO2 130 level is right in the middle of the wide 120/140 range, in which the nearest future will be played out.
