Market - Calm before Christmas

With unchanged weather forecasts the Friday morning market was a thin and flat affair. V1-04 traded just below yesterday’s close, but the contract is now definitely fading away, a Norwegian trader said. An international trader believed most players were awaiting January 5.
As the option exercise of V1-04 has been completed, the new focus is the summer contract. This morning turnover was generally low however, and the international trader believed that would be the situation the trading days left this year.- After the option exercise of the winter contract and with few working days left this year, I believe most players are looking towards the first Monday

V1-04 was slightly bullish before the Nord Pool open, but without difficulty the contract was traded down to the 270s during the morning session. Not many players consider the risk for a high-price scenario this winter likely now, a Swedish trader said, and was supported by a Norwegian who pointed to the unexpectedly weak spot.
