Gas - Zeebrugge gas prices crumble

(Heren Energy) - Gas prices tumbled steeply on Thursday at Zeebrugge, following the bearish prompt sentiment at the NBP, which sharply reacted to the recovery of the recently tight supply situation.
The spot market bore the brunt of the losses, with Dayahead temporarily crumbling by more than 4.00 p/th and Weekend giving up over 3.00 p/th. The prompt weakness filtered out into the curve, that saw December plummeting by 3.00 p/th and Q1 ´04 retracing by almost 2.00 p/th.Reemerging rumours concerning the gas flow reversal in the Interconnector were dashed by the Day-ahead´s parity to

(Heren Energy) - The week’s activity started on a bullish note with the unplanned shutdown of the Marathon-operated East Brae field, which resulted in the system starting Monday short and subsequently setting the tone for the first half of the week. Continuing problems at other offshore locations added further strength to the market with many periods reaching life-of-contract highs on Tuesday before declining slightly on Wednesday.
