Oil prices in New York are trading above USD 80/bbl on Monday morning on the back of a strike at French refineries and concerns over possible Iranian supply cuts following a tougher approach from the nuclear watchdog, players said.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands up USD 0.25 at USD 78.44/bbl on the ICE platform, while the WTI March contract on Nymex - which expires on Monday - last traded USD 0.20 higher at USD 80.01/bbl.
