Prompt gas prices dropped significantly on Monday, but the curve remained firm further out. Oil moved down, while a weaker fuel complex and a downward adjustment in German power ended the bullish run in CO2 prices.
The day-ahead on both Zeebrugge and NBP moved down more than 12 pence/therm on Monday to close around 57.10 and 58 sharp. Contracts through Q3 on the NBP saw limited losses, while contracts further out mostly firmed with the winter 06 contract closing around 0.50 higher at 83.50 pence/therm.
