Oil prices are rising on Thursday following the release of bullish preliminary US inventory data, which injected some optimism into the market, players said.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 114.12/bbl on the ICE platform, up USD 0.50 on Wednesday's close, while the WTI August contract on Nymex traded USD 0.76 higher at USD 97.41/bbl.
