Crude oil prices rose to their highest in more than two years as investors showed increased risk appetite, said players.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil touched USD 88.80/bbl on the ICE platform, the highest intraday price since October 2008. The contract was at USD 88.67/bbl, up USD 0.67 on Wednesday's close, at 06:25 London time.
The WTI contract on Nymex in New York traded at USD 87.22/bbl, also breaching highs last seen in late 2008, before trading last at USD
