Crude oil prices are falling after reaching new records on Friday. Gas and carbon prices strengthened yesterday, while coal prices eased off slightly. However, markets were thin due to public holidays in anumber of European markets.
Oil prices said to be down largely on the back of profit taking, in addition to expectations that US crude supplies probably gained for a fourth week on falling demand.Crude oil for June ended at USD 124.23/barrel (-1.73) in New York, after earlier rising to USD 126.40, the highest level since trading started in 1983.The front Brent month dropped 2.49 dollars to settle at USD 122.
