Oil prices are falling on Monday morning extending Friday's losses which were driven by stronger dollar and a lack of support from fundamentals, said players.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 51.08/bbl on the ICE platform, down USD 0.90 on Friday's close.
The ICE Brent May delivery settled at USD 51.98/bbl on Friday, down USD 1.48 as profit taking from traders following Thursday's rally had put oil prices under downward pressure, players said.
