The Brent crude front month has opened up on Monday as the players expect the Opec to announce a 2m barrel a day production cut on Wednesday.
The Brent crude January contract last traded at USD 47.20/bbl, up 79 cents from Friday`s close. In New York, the WTI crude front month contract was last seen at USD 47.15/bbl, up USD 0.87 from the previous close.
Market players are now focused on Wednesday`s Opec meeting.
