Oil prices are trading flat on Monday morning after surging before the weekend while only moderate gains are expected this week, players said.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last changing hands down USD 0.15 at USD 83.60/bbl on the ICE platform, while the WTI contract shed USD 0.20 to a last trade of USD 81.38/bbl.
On Friday the Brent contract gained USD 1.44 to close at a five-month high of USD 83.75/bbl, while the WTI front month ended USD 1.61 higher at USD 81.58/bbl.
