Oil, gas and carbon rose on Friday.
Crude oil prices continued to firm at the end of last week following Thursday’s decision by Opec to cut its official production quota by 500,000 barrels a day from 1 February. The Brent front month gained 60 cents to settle at USD 63.49/bbl on Friday, close to the intraday high of 63.61. Crude oil prices rose on Thursday after Opec agreed to reduce output for a second time this autumn in order to support prices. Gas and coal prices also firmed, while carbon was quite stable.
