Commodities - More bear than bull

Carbon, gas and coal prices were all bearish last week, whereas oil prices regained their strength towards the end of the week.
The carbon market saw clear southwards direction last week. On Friday, OTC contracts were recorded as low as EUR 17.75. Market participants attributed lower prices to  lower UK gas prices as well as decreasing European power wholesale prices. At Nord Pool, the 2005 vintage closed at 19.50 on Friday, down from Thursday’s closing of 20.48, while it has lost 4.55 since Monday last wee

Oil prices strengthened yesterday afternoon after China revalued the Yuan, leading to speculations of a boost in the demand. Prices keep increasing this morning.
