Crude oil closed sideways at the end of last week, as did the price of emitting carbon. Coal registered gains, while UK gas was moving in the opposite direction.
At the end of last week, crude oil markets settled at levels which registered only marginal price movements. In New York, the Nymex WTI front month (October) gained 11 cents to settle at USD 63.33/bbl, while November delivery ended down nine cents at 64.02/bbl. The ICE Brent saw the front month November softening a touch as the settlement price eased 21 cents day on day to USD 63.33/bbl.
