Commodities – Losses for “nervous” oil, gas gains

Tuesday was a mixed day for commodity prices; while crude oil prices fell, gas prices firmed at the close of the day’s session. Carbon prices fell almost half a euro, while coal prices were up.
Crude oil prices continued southwards on Tuesday on expectations that Opec would keep production at present levels at its meeting in Vienna today. Brent crude came off almost two dollars on Monday as bearish signals came out of the Opec meeting in Vienna. Elsewhere, the picture was mixed, with forward prices for both gas and coal firmer yesterday.
