Oil prices dropped close to a four-month low Monday afternoon as hurricane Gustav was less severe than expected.
In London, the October Brent contract shed USD 4.64 to settle at USD 109.41/bbl following a peak of USD 115.56/bbl earlier in the session. The front month WTI Nymex contract lost USD 4.56 day on day to USD 110.90/bbl after having touched USD 117.22/bbl earlier in the session.
