Crude oil prices are firming a touch on Wednesday morning amid slight nervousness about the afternoon release of the US government's crude oil inventory data, traders said.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 84.98/bbl on the ICE platform, up 0.26 from Tuesday's close.
The contract had traded within a USD 84.61-85.07 range at the time of writing and had slightly extended its premium, first established on Monday, to the WTI contract.
On Nymex, the WTI contract last traded at USD 84.
