Commodities - Crude down almost 10% last week

Crude oil prices tumbled on Friday, taking the losses for the week to almost 10 per cent. Other energy related commodities also ended the week softly.
In New York, crude oil for January lost USD 2.30 to settle at USD 88.71/barrel, heavily down from the record USD 98.18 settlement price one week ago. Prices for gas, coal and CO2 allowances came off on Thursday. Meanwhile, crude oil prices strengthened yesterday, and have been trading back and forth around yesterday's close this morning.
