Oil prices are steady Friday on morning after a strong sell-off Thursday evening, which saw the front month Brent contract fall more than USD 3 to USD 42.28/bbl to near four-year lows.
Brent was last seen at USD 42.30/bbl, while the corresponding WTI contract at Nymex was trading at USD 44.00/bbl. The day before WTI fell USD 3.12 to settle at USD 43.67/bbl.
DNB Nor bank said in a weekly round-up it did expect oil prices to bottom out in this month before jumping at least 15-20% from current levels in January.
