The front end of the Nordic power curve has risen slightly on extremely thin volumes on Tuesday morning, while the fundamental situation remains more or less unchanged from before Christmas, players said.
The front week is up 50 cents at EUR 33.50/MWh, while January is up 50 cents at EUR 36.25/MWh. "The latest EC 00 ensemble forecast was a little colder than the previous forecast, which may explain why prices are slightly up. But in general the picture remains wet and mild, like it was before Christmas,” said Matthias Hellberg, trader at Shepherd Energy in Sweden.
