Firmer German power prices are lifting the Nordic market on Thursday morning, despite a lack of support from weather input, market players said.
The benchmark front quarter had gained EUR 0.70 at EUR 54.45/MWh, while the April contract had been lifted by EUR 0.45 to EUR 60.60/MWh. Meanwhile, the German April contract had risen by EUR 0.65 to EUR 48.85/MWh on the brokered market, which pulled along the Nordic front month as well as the Q2 11 contract, a Norwegian analyst said.
