Market - Fundamental extremism

With extremely dry and cool weather outlooks, the Monday market gapped up strongly and V1-03 was up almost 20 NOK. And as the hydrological balance is falling to an all time low prices are soaring to levels possibly reaching all time highs, players said this morning. It is again being pointed out that we could be heading towards a collapse in the peak load reserve.

Market - Not afraid of heights
The Tuesday morning market continued lifting noticeably after a careful open, and players argue that the levels will keep on moving up on relatively low volumes for a long time. The hydrological balance is now some 27TWh below normal, a Norwegian trader pointed out, and with no indications that the resource situation will start to improve, the winter scenario is already decided, another trader held.

The Friday morning market continued correcting from yesterday’s weak close, a correction that did not surprise players and market observers. Some more precipitation and higher temperatures brought the levels down some 10 NOK, but the bull trend remains very much intact, and towards noon levels were lifting somewhat again.
