Nordic Market - Water savings gives bullish signal

The market opened on a split note, with the front end continuing to strengthen on drier forecasts, while the year ahead moved sideways in expectance of new signals.
Recently, the market has displayed large intra-day movements, offering numerous opportunities for active trading since small volumes are able to move the market quite heavily. Weaker oil and coal prices were said to be the main reason behind a strong fall in Nordic forwards Wednesday morning. At the time of writing, Q4-08 was down 1.75 at EUR 66.40/MWh while Year 09 had lost 1.90 to EUR 59.40/MWh.
