The December 2008 carbon contract gained in strength on Friday but failed to test the EUR 21/tonne resistance level. Meanwhile, oil prices in New York strengthened considerably on the last day of the week.
The carbon market strengthened through the week and the 2008 contract settled at EUR 20.30/tonne at the ICE/ECX on Friday, up from 19.89 one week earlier.
