Commodities - Oil tumbles on inventory rise

Crude oil fell below USD 58 for the first time this year after inventory figures were well above the expectations. Gas prices came off as well, while coal and carbon firmed.
Oil prices were volatile yesterday, with crude oil for March delivery trading in an intraday range of USD 57.60-60.05. The contract closed down USD 1.92 at USD 57.65 a barrel, afterUS crude inventories added 4.9m barrels last week to the highest level since last June, and this was a much higher increase than the market had expected.The front Brent contract at the ICE settled down USD 1.3

Oil fell below USD 60 a barrel on Tuesday for the first time this year. The Cal 07 contract on German power stayed above an apparently strong support level of EUR 54/MWh while gas contracts corrected upwards.
