Oil prices are rising on Tuesday morning on better than expected Chinese fourth- quarter GDP figures, as well as escalating geopolitical tension between the West and Iran, said players.
The March contract for Brent crude North Sea oil was last seen changing hands at USD 112.38/bbl on the Ice platform, up USD 1.04 on Monday's close.
On Nymex, the WTI February contract was last seen at USD 100.43/bbl, up USD 0.78.
