Oil prices are falling in early Thursday trading on the back of an unexpected rise in US crude and gasoline stocks, players said.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 104.10/bbl on the Ice platform, down USD 0.28 on Wednesday's close, while the WTI September contract on Nymex traded USD 0.37 lower at USD 88.60/bbl.
US commercial crude oil inventories rose by 2.7m bbl to 380.1m bbl in the week ending 20 July, while gasoline stocks rose by 4.1m bbl to 21
